Question about Unlocked Items - Guild Wars Forums

While playing yesterday, I think I either salvaged or identified an item that said I had unlocked some rune (I believe it said Necromancer, even though I'm an Elementalist, but I'm not sure). I didn't get a chance to read about it because I accidentally clicked on the pop-up "Unlocked!" message while trying to attack a monster.

Today, I identified a Tribal Scimitar (I think), when I found out I unlocked a fiery hilt, and my scimitar transformed into this:

Fiery Scimitar of Swordsmanship
Fire Dmg: 8-11 (req. 5 Swordsmanship)
Swordsmanship +1 (10% chance while using skills)

I did a quick search on the forums but couldn't find what I was looking for.

I'm wondering a few things - it said a couple of things were unlocked, so if I were to sell this sword to someone else, would the stuff still be unlocked for my pvp character? Also, where can I see what runes and such I have collected/unlocked?

I also don't know what the going price is for selling special items like these, so if people could give me an honest idea, I'd really appreciate it.

Any other info re: special items, I'd like to know. Information is so scattered on these forums, that I don't quite understand yet.

any skills/items that you have unlocked will remain unlocked even if you no longer have them.
